Interchangeability guaranteed – THK LM Guide GK Series compliant with ISO 12090-1/-2

Carriages and rails are fully interchangeable within a series, precision class (up to precision class) and preload class (all classes), allowing customers to combine them flexibly to suit their specific needs. Because blocks and rails can be purchased independently, the GK series offers a tremendous advantage to those machine manufacturers who must/will customize machines for end customer’s needs on short notice or re-design them to boost performance. The GK series also proves particularly beneficial when a defective carriage requires immediate replacement.

The interchangeable profile rail guides now offered under the GK series designation include the proven series HSR and SR, as well as their caged-ball variants SHS and SSR, the HDR type (DB configuration), and the roller guides SRG (with caged roller) and HRX (full roller type); these types feature standardized mounting dimensions compliant with ISO 12090-1. The miniature guides RSX and their caged-ball variants SRS feature mounting dimensions compliant with ISO 12090-2. Consequently, the GK series covers virtually all application fields where profiled rail guides serve as indispensable mechanical elements for enhancing the performance and reliable availability of production machinery.
