Is there any designated position where a return pipe type Ball Screw nut is attached to a machine?
The position of the return pipe is not designated. If the return pipe is in the upward direction, steel balls will come together in the load area. If it is in the downward direction, a clearance tends to be created between steel balls in the load area. Therefore, it is desirable that the nut be attached so that the return pipe is in the downward direction, in order to reduce torque fluctuations caused by friction generated by the contact between steel balls in the load area.
