Is it all right to remove the nut to further machine the screw shaft after purchase?
Balls will fall off if the nut is removed from the shaft of the Ball Screw. When further machining the shaft after purchase, use a sleeve about 1 mm smaller than the screw shaft minor diameter; slowly remove the nut, while pushing it against the shaft end. After removing the nut, fasten it so that it cannot come off of the sleeve. After further machining the shaft, put the nut into the shaft in the same way that it was removed. Slowly turn the nut and match the nut groove position with the shaft groove position, with the shaft end pushed against the sleeve. When the groove positions match, slowly turn the nut to insert it. When further machining the nut without removing it, cover it so that metal chips do not enter the nut. After machining, wipe off the chips from the shaft.
