Is it all right to use the Spherical Plain Bearing without lubrication because the inner and outer rings have been baked with a solid lubrication film of molybdenum disulfide?
It can be used for a relatively long period of time without oiling if the operating condition is motion under low speed rocking motion with a static load, or intermittent rotation. Normally, however, the replenishment of grease at a given interval is recommended. For operation under a heavy load, consider providing lubrication using lithium soap based grease containing molybdenum disulfide.
