I will be stopping equipment incorporating an LM guide for a prolonged period of time. Tell me the precautions.
Precautions

1. Anti-rusting ... Use in an environment that has minimum contact with air and adopt similar storage methods.
Example: Cover the entire equipment with an anti-rust sheet.
- Coat the entire LM Guide with grease.

2. Lubricant deterioration ... When lubricant is exposed to air for a long period of time, oxidants, etc. are formed and these cause the lubricant to change in quality, leak or deteriorate in other ways. When lubricating performance drops due to deterioration and the equipment is operated again, this might cause equipment trouble. Generally, the following phenomena appear when grease deteriorates:
- The drip temperature of grease falls, causing the oil content to separate, and flow away or evaporate.
- Consistency changes, sometimes causing the grease to harden.
- Performance drops by the intrusion of dirt and dust, moisture and other foreign material.

3. Resumption of Operation ...
- Check to see if there is no rusting.
- Add a sufficient amount of grease to discharge old grease out of the block.
- When restarting equipment, start with light operation. When resuming operation, pay sufficient attention and monitor operation.
