What is the hole at the center of the upper surface of the block of EPF model for?
It is a hole for the rail attachment bolt. Due to the EPF model having a finite stroke composition, the rail is short. When attaching the rail, there are situations where the block cannot be moved and thus a hole was made so that the attachment bolt can be passed through without interference from the block.
