Tapped Through Hole Option Added to Standard LM Rail Lineup, Making More Mounting Methods Possible
THK CO., LTD. (Location: Minato, Tokyo; President: Takashi Teramachi; hereinafter referred to as “THK”) is adding a tapped through hole option for LM rails to its standard product lineup.

While the LM Guide’s mounting holes are usually counterbore holes, THK also offers tapped-hole type LM rails (K tap specification) that have tapped holes drilled into their bottom surface. This hasn't been a standard option for some miniature LM Guide and other product models, however.
Now, tapped through holes will be added as a standard option for the LM rails of 52 model types, including miniature LM Guide Models SRS and RSX and others for which this option is in high demand. Because these holes will allow the LM Guide to be mounted from its bottom surface in the same way that the K tap specification does, this new option will allow us to better meet our customers’ needs by accommodating an even wider variety of mounting methods.
THK will continue to use the technology and know-how we have cultivated as a top manufacturer of linear motion guides to develop and provide products suited to our customers' needs.

Products for which tapped through holes for LM rails have been added as a standard option

SHW、HRW、HSR、SHS、SSR、SCR、SR、CSR、HDR
Please see the section covering tapped-hole rails on each product's webpage for compatible models and other details.
