The ability to change the home position varies depending on the linear scale you use.
Renishaw linear encoder (QUANTiC series Q4BC): Cannot be changed
Heidenhain linear encoder (LIDA 277): Can be changed
Magnescale linear encoder (PL25): Can be changed
For Renishaw linear encoders (QUANTiC series Q4BC), the home position cannot be changed after purchase. This linear scale has reference marks engraved at 50 mm intervals, and a reference mark selector is installed near the reference mark you will use.
If you specify the home position prior to purchase, we will install a reference mark selector near the position you select.
For Heidenhain linear encoders (LIDA 277), a home position signal is output every 100 mm. Please select the actual home position using a proximity sensor or other external sensor.
For Magnescale linear encoders (PL25), the magnetic switch (detector) is installed in the T-slot on the side of the GLM base, and the home position can be changed by moving it.
