What precautions should be taken when using the CLM in mounting orientations other than horizontal (wall-mounted, inverted, or vertical)?
The CLM can be used in wall-mounted and inverted orientations.
However, when mounting it on a wall, be sure to install it with the linear encoder facing up.
When using the CLM in a vertical orientation, there is almost no mechanical friction to prevent it from falling when the servo is off, so you will need to select and prepare your own brake or balancer (counterweight, air cylinder, etc.) to prevent it from falling.
