Is the oil less type Rod End free from any wear even without lubrication?
A wear test was conducted on type HS8. It was rocked at 1,000,000 cycles at an operating load of +/- 1180 N and the radial clearance was measured. The test showed that there was only a slight increase in clearance after the initial wear (approximately 100,000 cycles).
