The equipment with the LM Guide embedded is stopped for a long time. Please explain the precautions.
Precautions
1. About corrosion prevention - Please store the product in an environment and way in which it is not exposed to air to prevent corrosion. Example) - Cover the entire equipment with a anti-corrosion sheet. - Apply grease to the entire LM Guide.
2. About the deterioration of the lubricant - If the lubricant is exposed to air for a long time, oxides, etc. will be generated, which causes deterioration such as change of properties/leakage of the lubricant. The deterioration reduces the lubrication, which may cause trouble when the equipment is restarted. If the grease deteriorates, the following phenomenon will occur in general. - The temperature at which the grease leaks down lowers and the oil is separated and flows out/dries off. - The consistency may change and the grease may harden. - The performance is deteriorated due to intrusion of foreign matters such as dust, water, etc.
3. About restart - - Confirmation of whether there is any corrosion, etc. - Apply the grease sufficiently to push out the old grease from the block. - Move slowly when the equipment has just started to move.
