Environments with water require measures to protect the LM Guide and its lubrication.
Countermeasures for the LM Guide
- Consider using designs where water cannot come into contact with THK products. (Use a bellows or a cover.)
- To prevent corrosion, consider using the Corrosion-Resistant LM Guide Model HSR-M2 or a surface-treated product.
- Consider using some of the various contamination protection options available in order to prevent water getting inside the product.
Countermeasures for lubrication
- Use highly water-resistant grease.
- Use a lubricant with high extreme pressure resistance that does not easily wash away.
