Motion Controllers

THK offers three types of motion controllers. The TSC is based on a low-output stepper motor with an integrated resolver-type encoder, delivering stable and reliable operation with excellent cost performance. The TLC is a DC-powered servo motor available in 30W and 50W sizes. The THC is an AC-powered servo system covering a range from 100W to 750W. All controllers and drivers operate with the common "D-STEP" software, which can be downloaded free of charge from our website.

Motion Controllers
TSC Controller (Full Closed Stepper)

TSC features a stepper motor with an integrated encoder. Compatible with small-size actuators. Operating via I/O signals from upper-level controllers, TSC works seamlessly with THK's "D-STEP" software.

TLC Contorller (DC servo)

TLC features a 30 and 50W DC24V Servo motor. Compatible with small-size actuators. Operating via I/O signals from upper-level controllers, TLC works seamlessly with THK's "D-STEP" software.

THC Controller (AC Servo)

THC features a 100W to 750W AC Servo motor. Compatible with mid to laege size actuators. Operating via I/O signals from upper-level controllers, It also works seamlessly with THK's "D-STEP" software.

TJU/TNU Network Unit

TJU/TNU is a network unit that converts major fieldbus protocols to RS485 format for communication with THK controllers. This simplifies wiring and enables more information exchange with upper-level controllers.

Features

Choose Function Mode

Choose the step data count for the TLC and THC depending on your application. You can choose from six function modes: 0, 1, 2, 3 (64-position mode, external input teaching mode, 256-position mode, 512-position mode), 4, and 5 (solenoid modes 1 and 2).

Multi-point Positioning Type

Step data count: Maximum 512 items (varies by function mode)
This is optimal for when multiple positioning points are needed.

Electromagnetic Valve Type

Step data count: Maximum 7 items (varies by function mode)
Can be used like a cylinder.

Simple Adjustment with the Auto Tuning Function

The auto tuning function simply executes gain adjustments when overshooting occurs due to vibration, abnormal noises, or unstable positioning complete signals during operation.

Simple Setup and Simple Teaching

You can utilize a wealth of features simply by using the PC Setup Tool D-STEP or the Digital Operator TDO.

  • *The PC Setup Tool D-STEP can be downloaded after creating a free account or logging into THK Online Services.

Functions

  • Confirming and editing step data
  • Actuator operation (homing, jogging, program execution)
  • Monitor (I/O, current position, position commands)
  • Alarms (history, alarm reset)

Supports Field Networks Up to a Maximum of 16 Connected Axes

Connecting to the PLC with a fieldbus network enables reduced wiring. Use one TNU (network unit) and up to three TJU (junction unit) together to achieve mixed connections with the THK Driver Controller for up to 16 axes.
