Linear Actuator

THK actuators combine LM Guides with drive components like ball screws and linear motors. They are widely used in industrial applications such as machine tools, industrial robots, and semiconductor equipment, as well as in automobiles, medical devices, aircraft, and food machinery.

Types

The KR model combines a rigid U-shaped outer rail with an inner block integrating LM guides and ball screw in one unit, delivering high rigidity and precision in a compact design. Some units are produced in the U.S. for shorter lead times.

Model SKR features "Cage-Ball-Technology" integrated into the KR Model. It is ideal for cleanroom applications and environments requiring quiet operation.

Longer stroke and higher speed operation are possible compared with KR/SKR models, featuring large-diameter, large-lead ball screws. The strip seal option keeps dust from contaminating the actuator.

The KRF model adds a strip seal cover to the KR actuator, the option keeps dust from contaminating the actuator.

The GL-N type features paired LM Guides on extruded aluminum, offering greater load capacity than the KR type. Ball screw and timing belts types. Manufactured in the U.S. for short lead times.

The TH Actuator features larger LM Guides and drive systems on extruded aluminum, offering greater load capacity than the GL-N type. Available with ball screw or timing belt drive options.

The TY Series is a actuator featuring a long-life caged ball type LM guide housed within a long extruded aluminum frame. Wide timing belt enables both high-load capacity and high-speed operation. Manufactured in the U.S. facility.

The RK Actuator features a long-life caged ball type LM guide. Combined with a rack and pinion drive system, it enables high-load capacity, high-speed, and long-stroke operation. Manufactured at our U.S. facility.

ES/EC Actuators offer an affordable alternative to pneumatic cylinders while incorporating THK's core technologies. They are also available through our quick ship program.

The VLA Actuator series includes the slider-type VLAST and rod-type VLACT. It supports servo motors from 30W to 100W and NEMA23-size stepping motors.

PC/PCT are high-thrust cylinders driven by ball screws. The PC actuator is developed for servo press applications and enables a space-saving design by integrating ball screws and ball splines.

Clean room compatible products achieve ISO Class 3 and 4 cleanliness by adopting high rigidity derived from the KR series, along with a unique covering and dust suction system.

THK's stepper and servo motors integrate seamlessly with actuator products. Controllers are designed for simple applications, offering quick and easy setup with power outputs up to 750W.

The GLM series linear motor unit incorporates a THK-designed iron-core motor coil. With its physically contact-free drive system and highly durable cage ball type LM Guide, it delivers reliable long-term motion performance.

THK also offer products with unique features such as electric rotary tables and electric chucks. These can be combined with THK stepper motors.

Compact manual or motorized stages primarily used for optical equipment. It comes standard with a 5-phase stepping motor.
