Low-Magnetic Permeability LM Guide Model HSR-M3
THK has been expanding its lineup of LM Guide products for special environments through various iterations of the tried-and-true Model HSR. With an increased maximum operating temperature of 150°C, the Model HSR-M1 is ideal for use in high-temperature applications, while the highly corrosion-resistant stainless-steel material of the Model HSR-M2 gives it superb corrosion resistance in turn. And now, the Model HSR-M3 has been added to the product family.
The Model HSR-M3 is an LM Guide with low magnetic permeability that resists the effects of magnetic fields. With an LM rail and LM block made of material with low magnetic permeability, it is capable of achieving maximum performance even when exposed to magnetic fields, making such factors a non-issue during design. Unaffected by the kind of strong magnetic fields generated by MRI machines and similar testing equipment, the Model HSR-M3 provides smooth motion even in these applications.

Features
Relative magnetic permeability of 1.02 or less
A relative magnetic permeability of 1.02 is achieved using components made of materials with low magnetic permeability so that maximum performance can be achieved even in a magnetic field. Additionally, with a hardness of 40 HRC or greater, the material used for the Model HSR-M3 can tolerate higher loads than SUS316, which is itself well-known for its low magnetic permeability.
Four-way equal load
Each row of balls is arranged at a 45° contact angle so the LM block can bear the same load in all four directions: radial, reverse-radial, and horizontal. This allows it to be used in any orientation and for a wide range of purposes.
Achieves low magnetic permeability with the global standard HSR series
The HSR series, used in many machines around the world for its high quality and performance, now includes an option with low magnetic permeability. Its robustness, load capacity, high accuracy, and ease of use provides linear motion that is highly accurate and stable over the long term.
